Show C. C. CNews A Caterpillar 66 grader equipped with an engine for blade control I has been received at the Pleasant Grove C C C Camp F-43 from the Manti National Forest. This equipment equip-ment had been used at the May-field May-field C C C camp until it disbanded. L. L- Bunnell of the Lakeview camp entertained on the All-Camp-Night program of the Pleasant Grove C C C Camp's regular Thursday Thurs-day evening program. This program, pro-gram, of February 10, acquainted the enrollees with Mr. Bunnell's collection col-lection of Indian relics, various formations for-mations of wood and rock. Interesting Inter-esting explanations accompanied this demonstration. The program was well attended by both enrolled personnel and officers and foreman. Enrollees Henry J. Macintosh and John Wilson made a 12-day trip to the East and returned the latter part of the past week. En route to their homes in Kenucky they traveled trav-eled over Nebraska, Wyoming, Kentucky, Ken-tucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Okla-homa, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and into Utah. They report a very interesting trip and visit with their families. Captain Miller has taken residence resi-dence with his family in American Fork. The captain was previously commanding the Bountiful C C C camp F-48 prior to his transfer to the Pleasant Grove CCC camp.. . Lieutenant Watson and Enrollee Nichols have charge of the recently completed dark room- Development of pictures will be done under their supervision. Facilities in the reading read-ing room have been extended and now include magazine racks built in the entire south wall of the room. Each magazine is identified by a. card caption on the rack. Plyboard has been used in this construction, making a very attractive and promising prom-ising job. Mr. Clarence D. Allred, Jr., assistant assist-ant to technician of this camp, was receiving congratulations during most of the past week on the birth of a daughter. Mrs. Allred and daughter are progressing well at the Crane Maternity Home in Provo. Foreman J. M. MacFarlane, Jr. has been transferred to the Big Cottonwood Cot-tonwood CCC Camp, F-38. Mr. MacFarlane left to take over his duties there on the morning of February Feb-ruary 16, 1938. A special class in Diesel and Tractor operation is being conducted by Foreman George Allred. Mr. All-red, All-red, having experienced many years in this work, is a very competent instructor and the class is proving very attractive. Certificates of proficiency pro-ficiency are awarded in all courses through recommendation of foreman 1 instructors. I |
