H 1 3 .250 Provo 1 3 .250 Lincoln 0 4 .000 The surprise of the basketball season was sprung last Friday evening, even-ing, when the Pleasant Grove basketball basket-ball team defeated the Lehi team by a score of 34 to 26, which sent the local rooters into a paroxysm of joy. The local team is mostly made up of new players, Christiansen being the only veteran of the team. The boys have been working hard to make their community proud of them. The Leht team came to Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove confident of winning the game. The locals took advantage of their over-confidence,' sweeping the visitors off their feet by a score of 16 to 7 at the first half of the game, and leading the score throughout the "tussle". The Gym was packed to capacity, about half of the CTOwd being from Lehi. Both school with their bands , showed plenty of pep, and made the walls ring with their music, yells and cheers. The ladies of both schools pre-1 sented stunts in the open periods of I the game which were characteristic of school life. Though this game may be an outstanding one, Pleasant Grove boys needed it to give them courage, and Lehi needed it to teach them humility. PLEASANT GROVE G. T. F. P.
