Show W. A. Huckins Made General Sales Manager William A. Huckins, Provo division manager of the Utah Power & Light company, and former American Ameri-can Fork man, has been promoted to the position of sales manager of that company, with headquarters in Salt Lake City, and W. E. Fleetwood, district superintendent at Price far the past several years, will take Mr. Huckins' place as Provo division manager, according to an announcement announce-ment made by the power company officials. Mr. Huckins goes to his new position posi-tion with a background of many years' experience in the power and light business. His first association with the electric industry was with the Des Moines Electric company at Des Moines, Iowa, where he was engaged in sales work. He later became be-came connected with the Oregon Power company at Marshfield, Oregon. Ore-gon. He has been associated with the Utah Power & Light company since 1913, at which time he started in the general sales department. In 1915 he was transferred to Ogden, where he continued to follow sales work. In 1918 he was promoted to the position posi-tion of sales superintendent of the company's Ogden division. His further fur-ther promotion to the position of manager of the Provo division took place in September, 1930, and he has served in that capacity ever since. In his new position Mr. Huckins will be in charge of the company's sales activities throughout its entire system. sys-tem. Mr. Fleetwood goes to Provo well equipped to handle the duties of division manager. His career in the electrical industry began in Colorado, where he was associated with the Delta Electric Light Company Com-pany in 1909. Western Colorado Power company in 1913, he became district superintendent for that company com-pany at Delta. He was later transferred trans-ferred in 1915 to the position of district dis-trict superintendent at Ourary, where he served for about five years. In 1920 he went to Durango in the same capacity, and in 1925 moved to Telluride, continuing as district superintendent sup-erintendent at that point. Mr. Fleetwood came to Price in 1930 as district superintendent for the Utah Power & Light company, where he has served for the past four years. In his new position as manager of the company's Provo division, he wili have charge of operations in one of their largest divisions. |
