Show Life-Long Resident Dies Here Monday Margaret Dorothy Chrisiensen, 76, died at her home Monday afternoon after-noon at 3:30 p m-, following a week's illness of pneumonia. She was born December 7, 1859, in Denmark, the daughter of William Will-iam C. and Christina Williamson. She came to Utah with her parents when she was six years old, walking walk-ing most of the way across the plains- The family came direct to Pleasant Grove, where Margaret has since resided- She was an ardent church, worker in the L- D. S- church, serving as a Relief Society teacher. At the time of her death she was a member mem-ber of the Srnshine committee, a very fitting position for Margaret to hold. She had a smile, could sing a song, or even dance a jig if it was needed to cheer and comfort a sad or grief stricken member of the ward- Anyone never thought of Margaret being old as her smile and her fun loving spirit kept her are her husband, John C- Christensen and six sons, Albert and Harry Leroy of Bingham; Clarence, Clar-ence, of Salt Lake, Raymond, of Kamas, Melvin and Reuben, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove; twenty-two grandchildren grandchild-ren and five great-grand children; also one brother and three sisters as follows: William Williamson of Lake View, Mrs. Emma Jensen, Mrs-Christena Mrs-Christena Young and Mrs. Nora Peterson. Funeral services were held as we went to press Thursday at 1 o'clock p- m-, under the direction of the Second ward bishopric, with interment inter-ment in the Pleasant Grove cemetery- |
