Show Local Items The Junior Literary league will hold the annual Christmas party, Friday evening, December 22, at Mrs. Melvin Grant's new home at First East and First North streets. Disabled veterans and Gold Star mothers will be remembered at Christmas time, by the members of the American Legion auxiliary and the Junior Legion. As in past years, the organizations are preparing Christmas baskets for the disabled and for the Gold Star mothers. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Werner will leave tonight (Friday) for Mesa, Arizona, where they will visit their son, L. B. Werner, and daughter, Mrs. S. B. Nelson. They will also go to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and visit their son, E. R. Werner. They expect to be away about two months, during which time Mr. and Mrs. El-wood El-wood Shelton will occupy the Werner Wer-ner residence here. Mrs. S. J. Lubin of San Francisco is stopping at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David Cahn, for the holidays. After Christmas she is going on to New York City.
