Show Santa Claus Dear little daughter, so puzzled because Someone has said there is no Santa Claus. Doubt has crept in like a discordant song. Listen, my darling, the skeptics are wrong. "Is there a Santa Claus still," did you say? Yes. Just as surely as night follows day, And, little one, he will always persist Wherever love and devotion exist. That he's elusive there's none can deny Although at Christmas He's always near by Spreading the spirit of courage and cheer, Lending his efforts to drying a tear. You may not have seen him, still who can swear That he is not present when they are not there? A dreary old world, alas, it would be If we had only the things that we see. Some of life's beauties, eternally bright, Entered not into the soul by the sight. Through faith and fairies, elves, romance, and dreams Curtains are lifted admitting bright beams. Dear Old Kriss Kringle's good work was begun During the life of the Carpenter's Son;, Ever since He gave His life on the cross To ransom the world, we've had Santa Claus. I Edward R.
