Show DAUGHTERS OF PIONEERS HOLD MEETING A meeting of the Daughters of the Pioneers was held on the 14th at the home of Mrs. Mae Grua. First vice president Lorena White was in charge. An account of the first Thanksgiving Thanks-giving and .the first Christmas in ! Utah was given by Annie R. Hol-man. Hol-man. Duet "Silent Night" was given by Harvard and Madge West, accompanied accom-panied toy their mother, 'Mrs. Vilate West; reading "Unawares", Ardena : At wood; remarks, May Yancey and Lorena White. Rose B, Hayes reported on additional addi-tional relics received, also the completion com-pletion of two large books containing contain-ing much valuable information on historical matter and makes very interesting in-teresting reading. Purchase has been mads of some of the new song books, which contain over 200 pioneer pion-eer songs set in music by Professor Alfred! Durham. Meeting adjourned til the second Thursday in January when it will fos held at the home of Mrs. Mary L. Weeks. Refreshments were served. i |
