Show M. I. A. Board Presents Yearly Activity Program! M. I. A. Mutual Improvement Association. We're united for reciprocal re-ciprocal advancement from good to better. "Inspired by the refining influences influ-ences of 'Mormonism' we will develop de-velop the gifts within us." Ample opportunity for development is offered off-ered by the M. I. A. program. In September the Mutual Tuesday night meetings began; This meeting meet-ing affords an opportunity to gain spiritually by the opening exercises and the lesson period in the following follow-ing classes: Vanguards, Scouts, M. Men, Adults, Seniors, Gleaners, Juniors, Jun-iors, and Bee Hive. Fillowing the manual period comes a thirty minute min-ute activity period in the fields of Drama, Retold Story, Speech, Dance and Music conducted by efficient people. The Era Quota for the Timpan-ogos Timpan-ogos Stake is two hundred and five subscriptions and we have at present pres-ent one hundred and thirty eight. This makes sixty one percent of the required number. The subscriptions collected in each ward are as follows: fol-lows: Lindon, ten out of a quota of thirty -fthree; Manila, twenty-five out of a quota of eighteen; First I ward, nineteen out of fifty-one; i Second ward, forty-one out of forty- one; Third ward, twenty-five out of thirty -six; and Windsor, eighteen out of forty-six. The collection of a few more subscriptions which have been promised will rank Timpano-gos Timpano-gos stake among the leading stakes in the Era Campaign. . Plans and work is being done toward to-ward a Road Show which will be presented in January. In April the wards will send representatives rep-resentatives to the stake for the Stake Music Festival. People will be selected from the stake to go to the Church-wide Music Festival to 'be conducted in Salt Lake City in June. Toward the first of the new year the Gold and Green Ball will be an outstanding feature under the auspices of the M. I. A. In May the contest work in the various activity groups will cause much enthusiasm among Mutual members who have attended the activity ac-tivity classes and the final contest is being looked forward to with keen anticipation. During the summer months Mutual Mut-ual Dell offers a refreshing three day outing and affords an opportunity for each ward to get together and enjoy activity in American Fork canyon. The Timpanogos Stake Boards wish to express their appreciation for the co-operation and kindly spirit manifested by the. ward M. I. A. workers. Their responsibility is no light one but they respond nobly and willingly. The Boards wish them much joy and success in their work during the coming year. A. P. Warnick, Superintendent. E. R.
