'Mr. and Mrs. O. K. Fort heringham spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bird. Mr. and Mrs. James . Adamson and Mrs. Clara Bullock were guests at the C. P- Warnick home Saturday. Mrs. Mary Wadley spent Monday and Tues'day with her daughter, Mrs. Earl H. Barratt, at American Fork. Lee Anderson and G-ilden Oldroid of Fountain Green, were Sunday visitors visit-ors at the home of Mrs. Jane Walker. Mrs. E. B. Walker and taby, De-Vere, De-Vere, and daughter, Melba W. Cluff, ppent the week-end with relatives in Salt Lake. Grant Atwood left Friday for Salt Lake City, where he will take care of the Manila 4-H Club heifer calves at the State Fair, anti also have charge of the live stock entered by Merrill N. Warnick. Mr. and Mrs. Merril N. Warnick visited in Provo Thursday. While Mr. Warnick attended to various business matters, Mrs. Warnick was a guest at the home of her sister, Mrs. Orrin Baird- Mrs. W. W. Warnick entertained in honor of her birthday Wednesday evening. Dinner was the feature of the evening, covers being laid for Mr. and Mrs. Roy Meecham and son, Paul, of Springville, besides the mem bers of the immediate family. Thursday evening the Misses Jessie and Nettie Wadley entertained in honor of Mrs. Owen Allen, formerly Miss Elva Zimmerman of Lehi, whose marriage took place the previous previ-ous day. Games and music were enjoyed, en-joyed, followed by luncheon. The guest list numbered twenty five. Mrs. Sam Burns gave a very delightful de-lightful birthday party during the week in honor of her little daughter Marie's ninth birthday. The little folkg enjoyed house games and music after which a dainty luncheon was served to twenty littte friends. Those present were: Marie and Mary Burns, Dona Baxter, Coral Clark, Blanche Richins, Hope Spencer, Jean and Maxine Adamson, Fay Tomlin-son, Tomlin-son, Margie Driggs, Luana Thornfton, Ruth Hales, Bettie Newman, Ina Hayes, Olive Adams, Ilean Peterson, Ila Hardman, Anna Mae Nielson and Anna Marie Walker. Mrs- Florence Thorne Brown of &'alt Lake, was in Pleasant Grove Wednesday to attend the funeral of Myrtle Th&.ne Cutler. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Larscn of Califor nia, have been visiting relatives in Utah for the past week. On Thursday Thurs-day they were visiting with L. L. Jjarsen and family. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Demery of South Pasadena, California, visited with Dr. and Mrs- 0. E. Grua 'this week. They were enroute home from their sum. mer ranch in South Dakota. Mrs. Orville Cobbley of Delco, Idaho, Ida-ho, returned home Thursday, after visiting for several days with her mother, Mrs. CeCelia Christiansen, and other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Williamson, Mr. and Mrs. Allie RaUmall, Mrs. Orville Cobbley and Mrs. Alfred Bezzant motored to Spanish Fork Tuesday and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Darling. Mr. and Mrs. James D. Thorne and Mr- and Mrs. Roudy B. Thorne of Magna, made a trip to Newdale, Idaho, Ida-ho, Monday, to attend the funeral of Myrtle Thorne Cutler held at New-dale New-dale Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Van Wagoner and family are preparing to make an indefinite visit to Juaraz, Ofd Mexico, in the near future, to visit with Mrs. Van Wagoner's parents, and other relatives who reside there. The Gleaner girls of the Second Ward M. I. A. entertained the M Men at a social and short play last Tuesday Tues-day evening. Hot chocolate, cookies and sandwiches were served at the closing of the entertainment. The Misses Dorothy and Reva Jense entertained their New Social club Thursday evening at the Jense home. The evening was spent in sewing, games and social chat. Dainty re freshments were served to the following follow-ing guests: Margaret Whittinghatn, Hilda Oscarson, Fern Weeks, Evelyn and Eva Yancey and May Wadley. Mrs. Millie Poulson entertained Sunday at dinner in honor of her husband's GOth birthday. The tables were beautifully decorated with fall flowers.
