Show An Ordinance An ordinance amending Chapter li) of the Revised Ordinances of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove City, State of Utah, of 1310, relative to the City Cemetery by adding to and including in said Chapter one new Section to be numbered num-bered 7(iXl. Be it ordained by the City Council of Pleasant Grove City, Utah County, Utah: Section 1. That Chapter 10 of the Revised Ordinaces of Pleasant Grove City, State of Utah, of 1919, relating to the City Cemetery, be, and the same is hereby amended by adding to and including in said Chapter, one new Section to he known as Section 70X1, to read as follows: Section 70X1. Perpetual Mainten- ance. Certificate. Any person who hae heretofore purchased, or who shall hereafter purchase, a lot, half j lot or individual burial place in the .Pleasant Grove Cemetery, may pay into the city treasury one hundred ($100.00) Dollars for a full lot, sixty dollars ($60.00) for a half lot, or twentysfive ($35.00) Dollars for an individual burial place, in addition to the purchase price thereof, as full compensation for the future perpetual per-petual care and maintenance of said lot, half lot, or individual burial place, and Pleasant Grove City shall thereafter forever, at its own expense, ex-pense, care for, maintain and furnish water for, and irrigate, said lot, halt lot or individual burial place. For the purpose of fixing the amount to be paid for perpetual care and maintenance, main-tenance, a lot shall be construed to mean a piece of ground 27 by 38 links. Each person making payment for perpetual care and maintenance, as in this Section provided, shall be given a certificate showing the fact, and the City Recorder shall keep a duplicate thereof and record said duplicate in a book kept for that purpose. pur-pose. When the fee herein provided for, shall have been paid, it shall never be withdrawn, but shall always remain and be a part of a perpetual fund for the purpose for which it is .paid, and it shall be and is the duty of the City Council to expend the interest in-terest accruing from the perpetual cemetery fund in the care and maintenance main-tenance of said lot, half lot or burial .place. The City Council shall have complete control and supervision of the care and maintenance of all lots and parts of lote in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, and may em- fiuj dulii ciiiiuj ceo ai me 'Olty Cemetery as may be necessary, and at such compensation as may be designated. The City Council may pass, by motion or resolution, such rules and regulations as it may deem necessary for the care, beautification and control of said cemetery, and also al-so for the assessment and collection of the necessary charges made against the owners of all lots or parts of lots. Section 2. In the opinion of the City Council, it is necessary to the peace and safety of the City, that this ordinance shall become effective immediately . Section 3.
