Show Funeral Services For Levina Wittaker Backus Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, April 5, at the Windsor ward chapel at 2 p. m. for Lavina Whittaker Backus, wife of George Backus, who died at her home last Tuesday, April 2. Bishop A. H. Lowo was in charge. Singing by a mixed quartette "Thow Doe'st not Weep Alone' was the opening musical selection. Inyo-cation Inyo-cation was given by James L. M'arrott, after which the quartette sang "Jesus Lover of My Soul." The sketch ot the life of the deceased was read by Mrs. Ella M. Cragun. A piano solo "0 My Father" was given by Erma Swenson. Remarks were made by J. W. Gillman and Edmund Cragun, both who conveyed many words ol consolement. A solo, "My Father Knows" by Leon Gordon was next given, after which Stanley Harris and Bishop A. H. Lowe made the conclnd- ing remarks. The closing song was beautifully rendered by the quartet. The benediction was pronounced by Wilfred J. Stark. Interment was made in the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove cemetery, where Edmund Cragun dedicated the grave. 1 n |
