Show Players To Give 2 Performances December 14-15 Pleasant Grove Third ward actors this week were putting the final touches on their characterizations in the play, "Truth Takes a Holiday, in preparation 'for two performances, perform-ances, Wednesday and Thursday of next week. The curtain will go up on the first performance, a matinee, at 3:30 p. m. Wednesday, December 14. in the Third ward amusement hall. The evening performance will be Thursday Thurs-day at 8:00 p. m in the same place. Mrs. Harold M. Wright is director direc-tor of the comedy-drama. The cast is as follows: Posy Painter Delilah Fugal Aunt Harriett Bassett Ardena Atwood Mrs. Walker Mrs. J. M. Macfarlane Rebecca Bassett Annie Marie Walker Pete Moss George Paul Tom Walker Bill Told Bud Walker John Fugal, The play is an illustration of the j distress which can be caused by a lying tongue and a dulled conscience. con-science. There are laughs aplenty, however, especially when it comes to eccentric Aunt Harriett from "Califomy" with her rough speech and incredible appetite. The play shows Bud Walker as a hard working young man running his mother's farm -with no help from his invalid, good-for-nothing brother Tom, Tom being sought by the law. Mrs. Walker is partly to blame for Tom's attitude, since she defends him,' mother-like, in his evasion of work and his generous ability to lie.
