Show 18 From School Participate In Journalism Meet Eighteen students and one advisor from Pleasant Grove high school participated in the Sixth Annual Conference of Intel-mountain Scholastic Schol-astic Journalists held at Brigham Young university, Saturday. This year the conference broke the record for attendance when 430 students and 62 advisors from 52 schools of the intermountain region participated in the activities. Last year there were 388 students from 48 schools who attended. A memorial tribute to the late Professor H. R. Merrill, well-known writer and journalist, was given in the opening session of the conference confer-ence and a large, informal portrait of him was displayed. Talks by some of the leading Journalists of the state, luncheons, and panel discussions dis-cussions of typical high school publications pub-lications completed the program. Those students and advisors attending at-tending from Pleasant Grove were: Gordon Wright, Mildred Bezzant, Anne Marie Walker, Marilyn Richards, Rich-ards, Beth Meeks, Ina Claire Hayes, Glenn Robertson, Carol Clark, Mary Burns, Virginia Jacobs, Jena Adam-son, Adam-son, Claire Nell Hilton, Fern Robinson, Robin-son, Beth Newman, Lola Tomlinson, Tomlin-son, Bessie Downs, Margaret Stark, and June Cragun. Viola West ad-sisor ad-sisor also attended. |
