Marybeth Peay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ethen Peay, spent a few finer her uncle and Mrs. Alfred Rogers has extended invitations to a number of friends for a dinner party Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Walker and son Stanley, and J. L. Harvey attended at-tended funeral services for Dr. Frederick J. Pack at Salt Lake City Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Walker were Salt Lake City visitors Tuesday. Tues-day. A well-filled house marked the presentation of the Second ward play, "White Collars",- last Monday night. The roles were well played by the actors, and the play was excellently ex-cellently staged. Barney Hilton went to Logan Monday for a visit with his cousins, Sam Hilton and Abel Ekins, who are attending the Utah State Agricultural Agricul-tural college there. He returned Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Larsen plan to make combined business and pleasure trip to Salt Lake City Saturday, and on Sunday visit with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arval Larsen, of Bountiful, Bounti-ful, j Mr. and Mrs. J. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Woodworth came from Riverton to attend the Second ward banquet last Friday evening. Bishop and Mrs. H. V. Swenson received word recently that their son, Calvin, has been honorably released re-leased from the Norwegian L. D. S. mission. He arrived in New York City Thursday, after more than two years in the mission field. He is expected to be home soon. David Walker of Pleasant Grove, senior student at Brigham Young university, has been selected to play the part of Wei, the Tiger, m the "Y" Speech Department's production produc-tion of "Lady Precious Stream', famed oriental drama. The third major drama of the year is an ancient Chinese drama translated trans-lated into English according to its traditional style by S. I. Hsiung, Chinese-English scholar. Mr and Mrs. Alvin Carlson of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. a Shelley of American Fork were g e ts of Mr. and Mrs. J. Sanford Walker Sunday, the occasion being Mrs Walker's birthday anniversary.
