Lori Ann Voorhees, daughter of Don L. and Sheryl Voorhees, Pleas-ant Grove, will marry Weston Guy Winters, son of Norman R. and June Winters, Lehi, Saturday, Oct. 14. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 5 to 7 at the home of the bride's parents. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Bridal attendants are Bonnie Davis, Judy Wakefield, Ellen Kay Voorhees and Amy Hill. Best men are Norman and Kevin Winters. The bride-elec- t graduated from Pleasant Grove High School, LDS Seminary and Utah Valley Com-munity College. She attended the University of Utah. Her fiance graduated from Lehi High School and LDS Seminary. He attended Utah Valley Commu-nity College. He is employed by Pool Oil Well Service. Marcy is the daughter of Stella Christensen and of Vernon and Connie Christensen of Provo. Bryan is the son of Boyd and Barbara Walker of Lindon. The couple will be honored that evening at a reception to be held at the Women's Cultural Center, 310 W. 500 North, Provo. Receiving will be from 7 to 9 p.m. All relatives and friends are invited to attend. The bride will be attended by Kim Adams, Angie Bath and Lita Andrews. Groomsmen will be Kirt Walker, Mark McAffee and Todd Rasmussen. Marc graduated from Provo High School and has attended Utah Valley Community College. Bryan graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Semi-nary. He attended Snow College and is employed at Geneva Steel. The couple will make their home in Lindon. A reception will follow the cere-mony at the Bungalow, 235 S. 100 West, Pleasant Grove, from 7 to 9 p.m. Bridal attendants will be Tara Thomas, Rachel Thomas, JoAnn Underwood and Susan Underwood. Family to honor Alice Iverson at 75th birthday dinner party in Orem on Sun. if , j The daughters of Alice Iverson will hold a family dinner in honor of her 75th birthday on Oct. 15 at the Chuck-a-Ram- a in Orem. Approximately 31 family mem-bers are expected to attend the dinner. Alice was born on Oct. 13, 1914, in American Fork, the daughter of Albert and Sarah Mott. She attended school in Ameri-can Fork and graduated from American Fork High School. She is a member of the Manila Fourth Ward and has been a visit-ing teacher for 40 years. Alice is a member of the Pleas-ant Grove Senior Citizens where she has worked on scrapbooks for 16 years. In addition, she has been work-ing on scrapbooks that were her parent's hobbies. When her par-ents passed away she continued to work on the books. These scrapbooks are over 70 years old and are kept in the Dena Grant Historical Records Room in thebasementoftheAmerican Fork Library. Anyone is welcome to look at these scrapbooks. Alice worked in the school lunch program for 10 years and also was employed in a fruit packing shed for 10 years. She enjoys church work and did sealings at the temple for 11 years. She has enjoyed doing volunteer service. Alice is the mother of three daughters: Mrs. Rodney (Colleen) Raven of Payson, Mrs. Lynn (Marie) Sleight of Duchesne, and Mrs. Merlin (Janice) Harrison of West Jordan. She has 12 grandchildren and seven She married John Iverson on July 26, 1965 in the Logan LDS Temple. Her family wishes her a very happy birthday. Five Stake Date Night Dance planned A Date Night Dance for adult couples will be held this Friday, Oct. 13, at the Timpanogos Stake Center. This month the date has changed from the third Friday to the second Friday and the time has changed to 8 p.m. Music will be provided by Sound Advice and dress is casual. Dance r instructors will be available through-out the evening to teach anyone interested. There is a $5 donation per couple requested. Help keep the Date Night Pro-gram alive.
