Show Review - Wednesday, Oct. 21. I!W7 - Pa lie 'Hotel Frankenstein' is fun family play at VCP assistant. Egor, laying the ground-work about a plot to give the famous monster, living in the basement, a new brain. Peter Van Orman as Dr. Frankenstein and Joseph Sorenson as Egor were really good together, convincing the audience that they had been together for years. Frankenstein decides to turn his castle into a hotel, and the un-suspecting and somewhat simple American family comes to stay. An excellent performance as the father of the clan, Julus T. Woodknocker, is played by Mark Stockwell. Stockwell is called upon to play several different characters within the character of Woodknocker, and he really had the audience laughing at his antics. Another guest is Mr. McGonigal, played by Madeline Watkins. Mrs. Watkins really was a natural. Evervtime she came out, ex-claiming this or that with a shrill voice, she had the audience in the palm 'of her hand. She had good timing with her lines, and was genuinely funny. Julie Renstrom played the part of the frustrated vampiress, and did a very good Job with her accent. She played the part with a great deal of flare and drama. She was very good. With many people commenting that they would like to take their family somewhere where they can enjoy the holiday atmosphere of Halloween, instead of the frightening side, this would be a great family memory to make.
