Receiving a pin and 100 hours were Anita Fox, Eleanor Jenks, Jeannie Wilson and Leita Shepherd. A Volunteer Patch went to Louise Chanak, Mabel Hansen, Yvonne Black, Delia Roberti, and Norma Anderson. Also recognized were new volunteers Kit Tucker, DeAnne Ashton, Linda Christensen, Carol Laycock, Donna Greaves, Ruth Cobbley, Maybelle Lowe, Michaun Burrell and Don Turner. Mrs. Greenwood also paid tribute to Alwene Ritchie and Louise Adamson, volunteers who had died during the past year. Mrs. Adamson had served for 10 years and had 1,500 hours, and Mrs. Ritchie, nine years and 1,000 hours. The awards banquet was held at the Alpine Country Club on April 25. Members of the Volunteer Auxiliary at the American Fork Hospital were recognized recently for their many hours of service to . the hospital and the community. "Every year I'm more grateful for the service you do for the hospital and for the community," Malcolm H. Beck, chairman of the hospital board told Auxiliary members gathered for their annual awards luncheon held at the Alpine Country Club. "You are the type of people who make the hospital go with what you do and how you do it," Beck said. Craig Smedley, hospital administrator, ad-ministrator, told the volunteers they are "making a contribution to the hospital," through the donations they make each year but, more importantly, through the service they give to the patients and the staff. He presented the Volunteers with a plaque from the hospital operating room personnel for the recent donation of $10,000 from the auxiliary. The funds were used to purchase orthopedic equipment for use in 0.R.,he said. Yearly awards, presented to volunteers for each five years of service were presented to : I Margaret Faddis and Ruth Meranda, 25 years; Betty Powell, Millie Webb, Betty McTague, 10 years; Harry McTague, Evelyn Slater, Dorinne Jacobs, Roberta Adamson, Jeanne Walker, Beth Gammon, and Edna Tittensor, five years. LaRae Greenwood, hospital auxiliary coordinator, announcing i the awards, noted Nona Bingham has 26 years service to the auxiliary. Pin guards, pins or patches also .. went to .auxiliary, members for the , number of hours they have given to the hospital. Margaret Faddis heads the listen with 6,500 hours service. She is followed by Electa Smith, 5,300 hours; Laura Parduhn, 4,900 hours; Millie Webb, 4,600 hours; Donna Chilton, 4,400 hours; and Mrs. Bingham, 3,600 hours. Others honored were: Carma Colledge, 3,500 hours; Lorna Birk, Marjorie Weise, 3,100 hours; LaRene Ashby, 3,000 hours; Melissa Robinson, 2,800 hours; Velda Fox, 2,700 hours; Blanche Cook, Greta Miller, Vesta Wickwire, Ila Milne, 2,400 hours. Janis Bishop, 2,300 hours; Maxine Greenwood, Lucille Wootton, 2,200 hours; Erlene Burrell, Roberta Binnall, Fawn Taylor, 2,100 hours; Thelma Overly, 2,000 hours; Eva Abbott, Margaret Barratt, 1,800 hours; Grace Jensen, Roberta.
