Lions Club elects new officers The Pleasant Grove Lions Club held its annual elections recently, choosing Craig M. Oveson to serve as president for the coming fiscal vear, July 1, 1987 to June 30, 1988. Other officers elected are Russell Alldredge, first vice president; Dell Young, second vice president; Allen Clegg, third vice president; David Monson, immediate past president; Vance West, secretary-treasurer; James Fisher, lion tamer; and Jay Macfarlane, tail twister. One year directors are Maron Oveson and Stan Johnson. Two year directors are Grant Atwood and Jess Monson. The installation dinner was held June 27 at the Lions Building. Past District Governor Royal Stoker, - from the South Salt Lake Lions Club,' was the installing officer. He gave some timely advice to the new officers, with emphasis on the ideals of Lionism and continuing growth. The club members want to thank the outgoing officers for an outstanding out-standing year. Five new members were installed during President David Monson's year and another member was installed in July. Many projects were completed and money was raised to help many needs in the community. ;- In May, Lion James Fisher presented Doug Mooneyham as a prospective member. Doug was installed at the July 10 business meeting. The Lions Club is looking forward ' to another great year. |
