Show City League weather weary WEATHER! "Everybody talks about it but nobody does anything about it" We might not be able to do much about it but it certainly is the dominant word in PG this month. The unusually wet spring has taken its toll in the Mens Fast Pitch City Softball I-eague. Last week, Wednesdays schedule was postponed to Friday and all games were played except the Tingey Turf - Lamoreaux Concrete game. Seems that one of the teams was unable to round up enough players. They were probably enjoying a picnic in the fair Friday weather. Monday, the 16th found the diamonds pretty much under water and all games were re-scheduled for tomorrow, weather permitting. In last Friday's games the Nationals edged the PG Merchants, 5-4 while Steve Peterson Interiors was blasting the Rock Canyon Assembly of God, 14-4. 14-4. The Playboys won their second game in convincing fashion, 12-2 over H&R Chemm Dry. Interstate Transmissions rolled over Phil's 12-2 12-2 and in a close game, S&W got by Wils Family, 5-3. The 12 team league plays six games each Monday and Wednesday night at Shannon-Field Shannon-Field by the Rodeo grounds. Standings after two games: Interstate Transmissions, 2-0; Playboys, 2-0; Steve Peterson Interiors, 2-0; Southam & Warburton Aluminum, 2-0; Lamoreaux Concrete, 1-0; B&R Chem Dry, 1-1; Nationals, 1-1; Tingeys Turf,.0-1; Wils Family, 0-2; PG Merchants, 0-2; Phils, 0-2; Rock Canyon Assembly of God, 0-2.
