Photo -John Hill , t - - ! ; Cose: Wendy Anae By JACK HILL I Tlle case of Wendy Anae vs the 1 Utah High School Activities Association Associa-tion could have long range effects on high school sports in Utah. Wendy came to Utah in August from Hawaii. Her mother, a teacher, . got an exchange with a teacher in J ingville; an arrangement of trading jobs and homes etc. Since Wendy is a talented athlete, her Parents inquired as to "which school had the best girls athletic program . ' ' , Jhey were told, "Mountain View." told them this is not known nor is ''important to the case. Thinking they were following the 'es, the Anae's lived for a short e in Orem, before moving to vlapieton, their intended place of j idence. Wendy enrolled at Mt. f View. I The issue is, does living in an area i r a short time satisfy the residency remem for eligibility to par-llc'Pate par-llc'Pate in high school sports. The curt case will determine this, "hy the residency requirement? "ne and circumstance have shown "a some coaches, if given the op-PWunity op-PWunity will "recruit." Those who er to know claim that Wendy was ; recrmted' by both Provo and "'untain View's girls coaches and "en Mt. View won, Provo blew the j w 'stle.
