Show i Grovecrest Prepares For Spooks i Many students brought their scariest, ugligest and funniest pumpkins to school today to be judged by lie student teachers of Crovecrest Elemen-toy. Elemen-toy. The pumpkin carving contest is just one of the many exciting activities the ghosts and goblins will participate in this year. The school has scheduled Friday, October 30, to host a : Halloween party for ' hundreds of spooky and scary creatures. The ; Irtystartsat5:30p.m. Tickets will be sold in 'he office and also room ,' three that night. The evening will be packed with fun and games for the whole family. Cartoons will be shown, along with a spook run, sports rally, grave robbing, wheel of fortune, engravings, fish ponds, cake walks, white elephants, monster cookies and other games. For the convenience of the family, dinner will be served in both the auditorium and lunch room. Sloppy joes, hot dogs, apple juice, chocolate milk and donuts are on the menu. For an extra special treat, pie ala mode will sweeten your tooth in room twelve. A costume parade won't be held, but all are encouraged to come in their costumes and join in the thrills and fun of the evening. Principal Walter Reimchussel, PTA President Joyce Durrant, and her board would like to thank all those involved for their support in making Halloween at Grovecrest another safe and successful event. Just as a reminder to parents, school pictures will be taken next week -- November 5 and 6. Watch for the order forms your children will be bringing home. |
