The children had a wonderful time. The owner, who is a teacher by profession at a local junior high, gave the children a wonderful tour. The children learned the difference between the different types of squash and also why some people can only grow little pum-pkins and others grow huge ones. They also walked through a big pumpkin patch where Charlie Brown waits every Halloween, of course! They saw a huge pumpkin face scarecrow and had their picture taken. The trip was climaxed with each child being able to choose and buy his own fifty cent pumpkin. After leaving Pumpkinland, the class had lunch in the park.
