WITH AN OUTSTANDING 7-3 RECORD, the PG Junior High team placed second in their six-team basketball league. Coach Jay Walker reports rthat this year's team was one of the best to work with that has come through the junior high in a long time. Matt Norman, a quick ball handling guard, had a season high 24-point game with Neil Peterson leading the team with a 14 points per game average. At the center position, Jim Brown and Doug Monson played well with tough Shaun Bezzant the leading rebounder. Shaun Story and Chris Meyers got most 1 the playing time at the forward spots. Teams in the league were American Fork, Orem, Orem High, Lakeridge, Mt. View and PG junior Whs. Coach Walker feels that there are some excellent prospects coming up. The seventh grade practices every Tuesday and Thursday j mornings with the eighth grade players working out on Wednesday and Friday. All seventh and eighth grade boys are invited to these 'sWorkouts that are held on a "no cut basis." - j, -' . |
