Feb. 25, 1981. died Thursday, Feb. 19, 1981 in the Utah Valley Hospital following a lingering illness. She was born January 25, 1928 in Bingham Canyon, a daughter of George Alexander and Myrel Bennett Ricks. She married Leland Elliott Smith June0 5, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a licensed practical nurse and served in the LDS Church as a sports director, a Golden Gleaner and a YWMIA worker. She is survived by her husband, American Fork, one son and two daughters, Duane R. Smith, Sandy; Mrs. Guy E. (Susan) Richards and Mrs. Lori Ann Curtis, both of American Fork; eight grandchildren; her parents, Lehi; one brother and one sister, Dale H. Ricks, Lehi; Mrs. Lois Jorgensen, Pleasant Grove. Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 23rd Ward Chapel. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Melva S. Richins Funeral Friday PLEASANT GROVE-Mel- va Smith Richins, 83, died at her home Feb. 23, 1981. She was born Oct. 14, 1897 in Lindon to Melvin and Clara Tomlinson Smith. She married Arnold C. Richins on Sept. 10, 1919 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 6, 1977. She was a member of the LDS Church residing in the Pleasant Grove Sixth Ward. She attended Pleasant Grove schools. Survivors are two sons and one daughter, Dale S. Medina, New York; Mrs. Wilford O. (Ellen) Nelson, Albuquerque,. New Mexico; Kenneth A., Salt Lake City; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildre- n; one brother and two sisters, DeWitt Smith, St. George; Mrs. Lott (Verona) Hess, Los Angeles, Calif. ; and Rebba Worthen, Las Vegas, Nev. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove Sixth Ward chapel where friends Myrtle D. Boren Funeral Held Mvrtle Daybell Boren, 90, 255 E. 100 S., died Feb. 19, 1981. She was born Aug. 31, 1890, in Charleston, Wasatch County, to William and Annie Price Daybell. She married Archie Boren, June 27, 1910 in Provo. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 27, 1960. She was a member of the LDS Church residing in the Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward where she had served as a Relief Society visiting teacher. She was a member of the DUP. She moved to Pleasant Grove from Charleston in June of 1924. Survivors include: Three sons, three daughters, LaVeil W. Boren, Mrs. LeRoy (Thelma) Ash, Mrs. Grant (Anna) Adamson, v; Jack Ray Boren and Lloyd D. Boren, all of PLeasant Grove; Mrs. William "F; (Lucille) Butt, American Fork; 36 grandchildren ;.x 95 n; five children; brother and sister, Mrs. Lula Carlile, Heber City; Warren Daybell, St. George; two daughters and a son preceded her in death. Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 21, 1981. Carl T. Hamann Services Today PLEASANT GROVE-Ca- rl Thomas Hamann, 90, died at his home Feb. 23, 1981. Funeral ser-vices will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, 1981, at the Olpin Family Mortuary, 400 S.,.300 E., Pleasant Grove, where friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. or Thursday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Timpanogos Memorial Gardens, Orem. He was born Sept. 4, 1890 in Crawford County, Iowa to Thomas and Dorothea Otto Hamann. He married Rosa Irene Petersen on March 8, 1922 in Denison, Iowa. She died Aug. 29, 1968. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a veteran of World War I. He worked as a farmer and carpenter. Survivors include four sons and one daughter, Harvey, Springville; Milroy, Okobaie, Iowa; Thomas and Mrs. Goldie Marrott, both of Donna Gillies Rites Held Wed. LINDON-Don- na Ri-chins Gillies, 62, died at the American Fork HospitaL Sunday, Feb. 22,1981. She was bornJune 2, 1918 in Pleasant frove to Mark Samuel and Margaret Elizabeth Wright Richins. She married Winston H. Gillies, Aug. 1, 1936 in Vineyard, Utah. Marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She attended Pleasant Grove schools and was a member of the LDS Church residing in the Linaon inn wara, where she had served in many auxiliary positions. She was a member and past president of F.O.E. No. 2924. Survivors include her husband, two sons and a daughter, Darrell W. Gillies, Lindon; Lynn Joseph Gillies, Fair-field; Mrs. Leonard (Margene) Tantee, Las Vegas, Nev.; 11 grand-children; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, three sisters, Leo Richins, Orem; Vern Richins, Draper ; Ella Gurney, Lehi; Mrs. Dean (Blanche) Miner, Vineyard; and Leola Pedersen, Midvale. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1981. She was born Oct. 7, 1918 in Pleasant Grove to Alma and Perlinda Christiansen Radmall. She married John Jenkins, April 8, 1937. They were latfer divorced. She married Louie Ramorini and they were later divorced. She was a memner of the LDS Church residing in the Pleasant Grove Sixth Ward. She attended Pleasant Grove schools. She is survived by one son, John Vernon Jenkins, Seattle, Wash. ; five grandchildren; one brother, four sisters, Reed Radmall, Mrs. Arthur (Elaine) d, Mrs. Elroy (Fern) Nielson, Mrs. Raymond (Opal) Nielson, all of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Louis ' JOYCE R.
