Show APPLES ANYONE? Barbara Baxter and Maurine Miles, PTA officers thanked the fruit growers of area who donated apples to be sold for scholarships. Fruit Growers Thanked By PTA for Donations The Pleasant Grove High School PTA want to express their heart felt thanks to the local fruit growers that so graciously donated their delicious apples to be sold at the wrestling matches and the home basketball games. Proceeds Pro-ceeds from the sale of the apples will assist the PTA in their scholarship fund for 1980. The local fruit growers that donated the apples are: Sheryl Tomlinson, Nyal Smith, Verl Christiansen, Chris-tiansen, T. Ardie Adams, Blaine Brailsford, Craig Fryer, Lowell Tomlinson, Tomlin-son, and J.H. Harvey. Mrs. Barbara Baxter stated, "The local fruit growers have given some young person an educational opportunity opportuni-ty they may not have had." The total funds realized realiz-ed from the sale of the apples was $385. The PTA officers expressed "thanks" to all those who helped in any way, such as the high school janitors who donated their time to help sell the apples. Also, thanks to those who purchased the apples. Every year the PTA gives some deserving seniors scholarships. In order to have enough money for scholarships this year they will sponsor the high school's Last Chance Dance and invite the other high schools in the district. This dance is scheduled for May 16. |
