Theadore Tuttle, a member of the First Council of Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will be the featured speaker at the first Quarterly Fireside held for the youth of the Pleasant Grove Stake, Sunday October 16, at 8:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Stake House. According to Mrs. Carol Harmer, Stake MIA Young Womens President, the MIA is an auxiliary to the family and the purpose of such activities ac-tivities is to provide spiritual exDeriences for the vouth. All young people of mutual age are invited. The invitation is extended to 12 through 18 year old members of the Stake and their parents. Elder Tuttle, was an educator by profession, serving as supervisor of seminaries and institutes of religion for the Church, as well as teaching in both. He is presently a member of the Board of Education of the Church and the Board of Trustees of BYU. Elder Tuttle appeals to the youth, because of his close association with young people and is sensitive to their needs and interests. He was a student leader in his youth. In his senior year at BYU he was selected as the outstanding student in religion, and was A. THEODORE TUTTLE Will speak at fireside also Pres. of Delta Phi Fraternity. He later served a mission in the Northern States - Mission. Other Universities in which he has studied include Snow College, Stanford University and Uof U. He is married to the former Marne Whitaker and they are the parents of 7 children. With their two youngest children they are making their headquarters in Quito Ecuador, while serving as supervisor of the missions in the Andes area of South America, comprising the countries of Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Equador, Columbia and Venezuela. |
