WIZARD OF OZMark Bonham and James Wadley are getting ready for play tonight, Wizard of Oz at Jr. High Wizard of Oz, Dorthy Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this week Pleasant Grove and the people of the city will have the opportunity of welcoming a visitor from another world, that being the Wizard of Oz. The play being presented by the high school drama department and the city recreation department will begin July 29, today, and run also Friday and Saturday. Each performance will begin at 8 o'clock in the courtyard of the high school. Tickets may be purchased at the door and the proceeds will help to sponsor future recreation activities. The play has been underway now for about two months and all of the people involved are students from our own community. com-munity. Taking the lead role of Dorthy will alternate between Bernice Pymm and Linda Ivie. Assisting Dorthy will be Mark Bonham and Don Fenton, as the Tin Man. To finish out the main characters, Annette Wall and John Pymm will alternate as the Sacrecrow and James Wadley and Tom Gilson will switch as the Cowardly Lion. Oz will be played by Keith Wesley and the Good Sorceress will alternate between Virginia Fulton and Shaurs Firth. The cast has been putting in a lot of time and effort into making the production one of the highlights of the summer. This week seems to be a busy one for everyone, but take the opportunity and see the local kids working to develop the talents they have. The piay aealing with the fantasy as well as the real, has a great deal of appeal to the young and the young at heart. Assisting Mr. Bulkley, play director, has been Holly Walker. |
