Show Utah County Fair Set Aug. 19-21 in Sp. Fork The 1976 Utah County Fair is scheduled to be held August 19, 20, 21 at Spanish Fork High School. There is activities for all to be featured the the County Fair. The fair board would especially like to familiarize county citi'ens with those activities of special interest to the youth. First of all there will be a Road Rally competition which will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. It will begin at the Spanish Fork High School. It will be a three car race and there will be a $1.00 per car registration fee. There will be trophies given for the first three places. A basketball 3 on 3 competition com-petition will be held on Thursday, Thur-sday, Aug. 19 at the Spanish Fork gym. There will be a $3.00 registration fee. It will be a single elimination tourney. -Three trophies will be given in each age group, 12-16, 16-18, and 18-22. The competition will begin at 10 a.m. and it is presumed that 16 year olds and 18 year olds can compete in both age group classifications. A county fair tennis tourney will be open to all ages 12-22 and trophies will be given in both the mens and womens age groupts, 12-16, 16-18 and 18-22. There will be a $1.00 registration fee. It will be held at the Spanish Fork High School Tennis Courts, beginning begin-ning at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 20. A skate board competition will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 12:30 p.m. It will be open to all ages. The groups will be divided into groups below 16 and above 16. The rules do not say where the 16 years old will compete. There will be a $1.00 registration fee, and 6 trophies will be awarded. A pie eating contest will be held at 4 p.m. at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, Aug. 21. A $1.00 entry fee will be required to enter this event. Friday night there will be a youth dance. It will be held at the Spanish Fork School. Five trophies will be given to winning win-ning couples. The contest will be free with admission to the dance. Some of the best groups in the county will play at the dance. A custom and antique car show will be held at 10 a.m. The date of this was not given by the committee report. No entry fee will be charged. Cars will be entered in 11 categories and registration must take place before August 15. Send your entries to John Haws, 63 South 200 East Lehi, att. : County Fair.
