FH rgemfees for Driv h Sisciif Grove Oct. Governor Calvin L. Rampton has signed the PTA membership member-ship proclamation declaring the month of October as Utah PTA membership enrollment month. Using the theme "The Child You Help May Be Your Own" PTA membership chairmen will be especially encouraging enrollment en-rollment of parents during the week of Oct. 8-13. The 1973 proclamation signed sign-ed by the govern read in part, "To increase membership and activity which will secure for every child the highest advan- tages in physical, mental, social so-cial and spiritual education." In signing the governor urged urg-ed all citizens of Utah to give their whole-hearted support to the Utah Congress of Parents and Teachers. Mrs. Rampton is serving as honorary membership chairman chair-man for Utah. Pelasant Grove PTA council membership chair man Mrs. Eyelyn Schoonover suggests that if you are not contacted personally by your local PTA, that you notify the school about PTA membership. The local Pleasant Grove membership drive will be conducted con-ducted on a council basis the evening of Monday, Oct. 8 from 5 to 6 p.m. Interested persons who do not have children chil-dren are still encouraged to take advantage of furthering the objects of Utah PTA. |
