' : 1 SP4 ERIC GOSS Leaves for Korea Lindon Soldier to Serve in Korea For Duty Tour Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Goss of Lindon received a phone call Sunday evening from their son, Sp4 Eric Goss prior to his departure de-parture from McCord Air Force Base, Washington, en-route en-route to Korea for a thirteen month tour of duty with the Army Combat Engineers.. . Eric has been home on leave since completing his second course in Engineer Equipment Repair at Fort Belvoir, Va. He was an Honor Graduate from both schools and his Sp4 rating ra-ting was awarded as the result of his exceptionally fine record. He has been in the army since February of this year and had his basic training at Fort Ord, Calif, where he earned his Expert Rifleman medal.. While on leave he and his parents traveled to Fort Hua-chuca, Hua-chuca, Ariz., to spend Thanksgiving Thanks-giving holidays with his bother both-er Sp5 Jon Goss, who is also with the Army Combat Engineers Engin-eers and who served his tour of duty in Vietnam. They were accompanied by John's fiance, Miss Lora Lee Shields. Sp4 Goss was a 1968 graduate grad-uate of Pleasant Grove High School and had attended Utah Technical College in Provo. |
