Les Potpouri Club Has Christmas Party Recently The beautifully decorated home of Mrs. Paul Gillman was graciously opened to Les Potpouri club members for their annual Christmas party. A delicious buffet supper was enjoyd by all in a festive hol-iday atmosphre. Immediately following, the program was presented by Mrs Zelda Freeman. She retold "Merry Christmas Mr. Baxter" by Edward Streeter It was a delightful story dealing with the Baxter family and their customs and thoughts on giving and receiving at Christmas. Helping Mrs. Gillman in the planning and arranging were Sally Laycock, Jackie Smith and Carol Hullinger. Battle Creek DUP Camp Meets at Johnson Home The Battle Creek Camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers met at the home of Maymetta Johnson on Friday, Dec. 12. Captain Gertrude Richards was Prayer was offered by Sadie Beck. The lesson, "Pioneers in Picture and Story" was given by Alta Hone. A Christmas Story was given by Lacy White. Those present were: Cora Bezzant, Gertrude Richards, Estelle Fenton, Jenev Olsen, Vivian Evans, Letha Carson, Myrtle Boren, Sadie Beck, Lucile Walker, Ida Atwood, Lacey White, Lydia Hilton, Hazel Crookston, Florence Pierce, Florence Madsen, and Chloe Shipley. Grove; Ken H. Wright, Orem, Utah, and Mrs. Cleora Maxfield Paul, Idaho. Newell Wright gave his life in World War II. He also has 18 grand children and 29 great grandchildren. His wife, Grace died in 1961. Blake Fordhams Honored on F 35th Anniversary The Bill Jarvis home in Am-erican Fork was the setting for a gala anniversary party held Dec. 11. Mr. and Mrs. Blake Fordham were the honored couple. All of their eight chil-dren were in attendance to help their parents celbrate their 35th wedding anniversary. A delicious dinner was serv-ed and games and visiting were enjoyed by all. Members were welcomed by President Mrs. David Waid and a short business meeting was held.
