Show THURSDAY, JULY 31, 1969 PLEASANT GROVE REVIEW, PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH THURSDAY, JULY 31, 1969 Arts and Crafts Class Complete Many Articles By Fern Hicks A visit to the Arts and Crafts room in the Junior High School proved very interesting. Boys and girls were busy and happy learning to use their heads and and hands in new skills, under the direction of Bob Scholes. Numerous projects have been completed during the 8 weeks summer program. Among them have been dishes, neck-laces, flowers, turtle soap dish-es and other articles made from plaster, picnic tables and benches, nut and fruit bowls, chess and checker boards, lamp bases and other things made from wood. Wallets, key cases and purses from hand tooled leather and mosaic pict-ures. Many articles were entered in the American Fork Steel Days Crafts show, winning 1st and second places. Three class periods are left before completion of the eight week's course. Mr. Scholes suggested that adults come and enjoy the next course .There are many inter-esting and beautiful as well as practical things to be made.
