Show CALVIN PENDLETON FAMILY HOLDS ANNUAL REUNION special to the times the family reunion of the descendents den cen dents of of calvin crane pendleton was held at the vermilion castle forest camp monday aug which date is the birthday of the elder mr pendleton the reunion began with a group dinner at about 2 p in wit with h each family group bringing its own food this was art an especially part of the program because of the toastmaster warren pendleton Pendle toji and the good food that was there for everyone the group then hat hai a program which consisted of the following numbers community singing led by zona P a duet by elsie and 0 leta pendleton talk by william duet by mr mi and mrs reuben jones talk by bell matheson song by maryetta stubbs dialogue by rulon and jacqueline pendleton and remarks by frank pendleton following the program the election of officers was held and this the officers who have had charge of ef the fam ilys affairs for the past year were unanimously retained in the evening a dance was held in in the recreation nall nail with ivan deckers orchestra furnishing the music the officers of the past year have taken as their special project the P purchasing ur chasing of a new head stone for a and nd cleaning and planting grass ovi on the lot of calvin crane pendleton on wh which ich was a fine undertaking and a big improvement to the cemetery only two children are left of the old pendleton family aunt sa sarah connell who will be 91 years old on september 2nd and and william pendleton who is 85 past both of t them it em were able to be at the reunion ion there were about 73 or 80 people present at this years reunion which quite as many as attended last years celebration however many were here from out of town among them being the following mr and mrs reuben jones and family of milford mrs heber holy oak of cedar city mr and mrs rulon pendleton and family of richfield pich field mr and mrs clifton foster of cedar city mr and mrs roy nazer and family of st george mr frank pendleton and mrs ethel church the latter a second cousin to the calvin crane line of st george and mrs clista davis of maywood california at the close of the affair they all departed with the feeling that it had been very mush a success and with a determination to hold a bigger gerand and better one next year |
