Show hannah dalton passes following long illness funeral services were held at 2 this afternoon in the east ward chapel for hannah orton dalton aged 59 and lifelong resident of carowan parowan Pa rowan who died tuesday afternoon at the home of mr and mrs lewis M lowder who have taken care of her for the past several months death was caused by a series of paralytic strokes with which site she has been stricken in the past year and she has been in poor health for a long time with death coming almost as a relief from her long suffering the funeral services were under the direction of bishop W L adams and commenced with the combined choirs singing that beautiful land with ivan decker directing and mary lyman accompanying on the piano john L lowder offered the opening prayer after which a ladies chorus directed by berta burton burlon and alice C mitchell sang teach me to pray with berta mitchell at the piano speakers were walter C mitchell and simon A matheson with a few closing remarks by bishop adams who also read a poem written by mrs M A burton other musical numbers were a piano solo by lyle Mrs marsden den and the closing song 1 I need thee every hour rendered by the choir the closing prayer was offered by john P orton and at the cemetery the grave was dedicated by wm win C mitchell mrs dalton was born at paro wan on march 17 1882 a daughter of alex and sarah taylor orton she was married to clarence edgar dalton here in 1902 and five children were born to them all of whom along with her husband survive the children are two sons clarence clr ence 0 and brandt dalton and an d three daughters mrs audrey D james gars mrs carol D arasim and mrs ruth D gordon all of long beach california she is also survived by a half sister florence 0 mitchell of salt lake city and several grandchildren |
