Show Young musicians, actors display their talents "Mystic Island," "Prelude in Dance," three songs from Colonial America, "Sunrise, Sunset," "Percussion "Per-cussion Picante" and "Carnival of Venice." Three trumpet trios kicked off the band's performance with "The Call." One trio faced the audience on stage while the other two were in op-I op-I : posite corners behind the audience. Soloists were Amber Boehm, clarinet, in "Carnival of Venice"; Rachael Mohns, piccolo in the Colonial Col-onial arrangement; Cheryl Hannay, trumpet, in "Percussion Picante"; Mike Jensen, trumpet in "Sunrise, Sunset" ; and Jennifer Traeger, flute in "Sunrise, Sunset." Last week, the Treasure Mountain Middle School's "An Autumn Evening Even-ing With the Arts" treated the audience au-dience to some impressive acting and musical performances. Before the festivities, those attending atten-ding were treated to a display of poems and short stories written about Halloween. There also was a display of clay sculptures created by students in teacher Andrea Morguloff 's art classes. Aspiring actors gave a performance perfor-mance of "Sorry, Wrong Number," a drama in which an invalid woman overhears a conversation between two men plotting a murder which turns out to be hers. The actors and actresses were: Sarah Jane Harrington, Ryan Lee, Danny Tebbs, Cassandra Burns, Jeremy Manwaring, Eric Allen, Ady Morrison and Matt Bean. The audience then was serenaded by selections from the seventh- and eighth-grade band. They played |
