Show Rec. Dept. calendar blooms with classes The Park City Recreation Department's new spring calendar will be out this week offering classes to get you, your dog and your garden in shape for next summer. Mary Jane Bird will continue to teach a full schedule of aerobics, jazz and tap dancing classes for adults, while Debby Harmer of Razz-ma-tazz will keep the younger kids busy with cheerleading and drill-team lessons. Judy Ann Boles is returning to teach her popular dog-obedience classes with beginning and advanced sessions on Thursday nights. The first class will be held April 11 at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Building. For those who are baffled about gardening in the mountains, Sterling Banks of the Summit County Extension Service will teach three workshops on April 10, 17, and 18. Topics to be included are yard care, seed selection, planting and transplanting. On Thursday nights, Robin Valline of Valline Gallery Framing will give do-it-yourselfers valuable tips on mounting and framing artwork. The classes wil be taught at his gallery at the Mt. Air Mall. The.new calendar also includes massage therapy workshops by Robert Fournier. He will discuss the benefits of massage for stress reduction, relaxation and longevity. Later in the month, Tom Noaker of New Park Cyclery will spend an evening sharing advice about bicycle maintenance and basic repairs.
