For more information call 649-5333 or 649-7926. kpcw volunteer's meeting There will be a volunteer meeting for those involved with KPCW presently in either a volunteer on-air or support position on the station presently. The purpose of the meeting will be to elect two volunteer representatives to the new board of trustees at the station. Only current volunteers are eligible to vote and serve in the designated volunteer positions on the board. The meeting will be held at 8:30 p.m., February 19th at the Memorial Building. For further information please contact Dan or Blair at the station. radio membership meeting There will be a general membership meeting of Community Wireless of Park City, KPCW, oon February 19th for the purpose of electing members to the station's Board of Trustees. Those in attendance at the meeting, who paid their $15.00 membership donation during the December marathon, will be entitled to nominate and elect two members to the new radio station Board. The meeting will be held at the Memorial Building at 7:30 p.m. women's meeting The League of Women Voters of Utah is currently in the process of establishing a Park City League. The League of Women Voters is open to everyone. The League studies and acts on local.. state and national issues that affect the entire ' community. Members decide what community problems to tackle. Park City needs a League, and The League needs you as a member. There will be an organization meeting February 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Memorial Building. We urge you to attend. Cost $10.00 per couple. animal control needs help In recent weeks, the Department of Animal Control has had 3 complaints of dogs being trapped in steel jawed traps. We have exhausted our resources in finding the individual responsible and would like to ask for help from the public, to find this person. If anyone has knowledge of who is doing any trapping in this area, we would appreciate it if they would contact this office at 467 Main St. Our phone number is 649-9072. Jim McMillan, Animal Control Officer historical soc. needs volunteers The Historical Society is not only recruiting members, soliciting donations and artifacts, but also providing Parkites with the opportunity to actively contribute to the preservation of and display of historic items. Regardless of age or se.x, work schedule or play schedule, or length of time in Park City, there is something that you can do!! In-house projects include cateloging, cleaning, and display of documents, artifacts, photographs, and slides; general clerical work (mailing lists, newsletter, etc); research and correspondence; resource files.- Out-of-the office projects include the' construction of , display cases, oral history interviews, speaker's bureau, special projects,' cemetery clean-up and restoration to name a few. If you are interested in taking or organizing photographs, interviewing or typing interviews pertaining to Park City's history, picking-up, cleaning-up or putting-up donations and displays, there is something for you at the Historical Society! :. If you feel any of the symptoms just mentioned, come to the Memorial Building on Friday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. to exercise with your child. Stimulate your child's coordination, social awareness, and sensory perception at a clinic sponsored by Becky Burns, RN, and Kristin Schaub, BA in child development both qualified mothers. A parent must accompany the child and participants should wear comfortable clothing. Ages 0-5 years and the cost is $.50. Additional children $.25. Coffee and refreshments will be served. family planning clinic The Park City Community Clinic will be having a clinic on Thursday, February 19th. This is a Family Planning Program that is private, non-profit. The services offered include medical, counseling and education, pregnancy testing, contraceptive supplies, and venereal disease screening. An appointment is required and may be made by calling 649-5989. This clinic is available to everyone and all services are confidential. |
