Show D. BreiU Bird Four men were killed in an air crash in the Uintas Prim-ative Prim-ative area Friday, August 22, near Squaw Lake. Killed were George Lax, Lehi; Gene Wilson, Springville; Joseph Hoover, Pleasant Grove and D. Brent Bird of Salt Lake. Brent Bird was born October Oct-ober 31, 1939 in Provo, to James Arvil and Doris Lambert Lam-bert Bird. He married Ven-ace Ven-ace Oakey, September 9,1965 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a graduate of Springville High School, Brigham Young University. He was an art instructor at Park City High School, affiliated with artist workshop work-shop in Trolley Square and has art work displayed in 23 galleries in the UJS. He served an LDS mission in England. Brent is survived by wife and daughters, Janilyn, Jennifer Jen-nifer and Melinda of Salt Lake. Father and stepmother, stepmoth-er, Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Bird of Springville, brothers Don and Jon, both of Springville. Funeral services were held in Springville, Tuesday, Tues-day, August 26 at 11 a.m. Brent Bird was well liked by the students of Park High and all are very sad over the news of his death. He will be missed by many here. The D. Brent Bird Memorial Mem-orial fund will be used to purchase pur-chase something lasting for Park High.
