Show Development Camp Changes ditions at Crystal Mountain forced the camp there to be cancelled, so many of those who planned to race there will compete at the national camp at Purgatory. According to Marolt, "Excellent "Excel-lent snow conditions in southwestern south-western Colorado, as well as the usual cooperative effort by the Durango people make us anxious to hold the national camp there. We look forward to nine good days of training in all three disciplines." The USST National Develd-ment Develd-ment Camp originally scheduled to take place Dec. 12-22 at Steamboat Springs, Colorado has been rescheduled for Dec. 13-22, 1978 at Purgatory, Colorado. Bill Marolt, Alpine Development Director for the USST sited uncertain snow conditions con-ditions in the east and west as affecting the original plans for development camps to be held at Crystal Mountain, Washington and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The Purgatory camp will include 60 competitors, 12 men and 8 women from the Sunday River, Maine camp and another 40 racers (24 men and 16 women) from the Western region. Uncertain snow con- |
