Show Terrace Ballroom Sets Last Concert been performing at the End-Run. End-Run. Tickets: $4.50 in advance, and available at: Odyssey Record Re-cord Stores, Musicland Stores, Tape-Head Co., Big Apple Records, all Z.C.M.I. ticket outlets, Raspberry Records, Cosmic Aeroplane, Terrace Box Office, and in Park City at the End-Run. $5.00 at the door on the night of the performance. A Farewell To The Terrace-This Terrace-This will be the very last musical concert to be held in the Ten-ace Ballroom ever. The Terrace is permanently closing its doors on January 1, 1979. The owners of the property, Little America, are going to raze the Terrace to make room for additional parking and convention con-vention facilities. The Terrace, constructed in 1931, has housed hous-ed numerous concerts during its existance, and was essentially essen-tially the only concert facility in Salt Lake City until 1971 when the Salt Palace and Special Events Center were completed. The majority of the well known performers at the Terrace-Nat King Cole, The Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Woody Herman, Tim Weissberg, ect. The entertainment for this final concert will offer a diversity diver-sity of music ranging from contemporary folk, to rock and roll, to country rock. The main performers will be Cow-Jazz, a country rock band who has just had a new record released on November 19, 1978 and has previously recorded an album under the title of "Cold Blue Steel", the two new songs which have just been released and are receiving receiv-ing considerable radio play are, "She'll Do Anything For You" and "Friendship". Cow-Jazz will be returning from an engagement at the Cowboy Bar in Jackson, Wy., and a previous engagement in Masoula, Mont. Playing prior to Cow-Jazz will be, Anthem, a local group which has played both locally and out of town, and specializing special-izing primarily in Rock & Roll. The other act which will begin the concert with a short set is the most refreshing young female vocalist to come along in years. She has just come to this area from southern south-ern California where she has performed for the past five years and this performers name is Claudia Appling. She has accompanied the Loggins & Messina tour to Florida, and has other numerous credits to her name. Claudia Appling is now a resident of Park City, and has |
