Show Planners Will Hear Dump Rezoning Plans Next Wednesday (8:00pm), the Park City Planning Commission will hear a proposal to rezone part of the old garbage dump to allow for the construction of moderate income housing and light industrial use. Salt Lake investor Jim Gaddis will propose that 19.4 acres, past the Mountain Air Market on Iron Horse Dr., be rezoned from Estate to General Commercial (GC). Gaddis told the Record Tuesday that soil tests indicated there would be "no problems" in developing the old dump, although he said there would be "certain areas we would have to avoid." He said the industrial area would include offices for contractors and storage areas. Plans for the moderate income housing are not yet complete. Happy Holidays ! |
