Show Nostalgia at Meyet Gallery Spring is a fine time to ' indulge in a little nostalgia at the Meyer Gallery. The current exhibit of Park City artist Ray McCarty's oil paintings brings back the Victorian era. His tintype western chracters envelope the observer in the softly lit mood of bygone days. Poker players and elegant ladies glow beneath layers 1 of shellac. McCarty is a graduate of the University of Utah and is one of the major collected artists in Utah. His work has appeared in top galleries in Jackson Hole, Wyo. and in Arizona. ; In addition to the McCarty exhibit the gallery has a fine collection of Edward Fraugh- ton's bronze statues depicting depic-ting classic western scenes. Visitors are also treated to ; several watercolors by H. Frances Sellers and landscape land-scape oils by Richard Murra- ; ray. Meyer Gallery also handles posters and lithographs litho-graphs by R.C. Gorman. |
