Show Silver Kings Drop dose Match The Park City Silver Kings, playing with only one substitute, substi-tute, lost a close match last Sunday to the Salt Lake Fivers, in round one of a I double elimination league' olav-oft match for the Saslt Lake Industrial Hockey Lea- iiue. The K i figs got off to an early lead in the first period, but an injury soon left the team with no substitutes, which forced the entire squad to play the remainder of the game without with-out rest. Closing out the first period1 l-O. the Kings widened their, lead in the second with another, goal. The Flyers, however- came back to score; i wo quick goals in that period.; i icing the score at 2-2. Then, about four minutes into the third period. the1 Flyers took the lead 3-2. withi their third straight goal in a! row. By this time, exhaustion began to take a heavv toll of the Park City club, enabling Salt Lake to score two more goals, ending the third period, and the match ahead 5-2. |
