This dance was the second girls' date dance this year. The first was sponsored by the pep club. This dance was titled: "A Sweetheart Ball." It was put on by the G.A.A. (girl's athletic association). as-sociation). The dance was semi-formal and everyone tried to present a good appearance. There was contrast to be seen not only in couples but also in dress. Pat Pirraglio Park llijili Notes (Continued from page eight) A sweetheart queen and king were chosen by popular pop-ular vote of the students. The queen had to be a junior or senior girl belonging to G.A.A. The king had to be a junior or senior boy who was a letterman. Pat Pirraglio, a senior, and Lynne Maxfield, a junior, jun-ior, were chosen king and queen. After they were crowned and the queen was given flowers, everyone watched while Pat and Lynne danced. After the queen and King danced, the G.A.A. members presented Miss Alene Jensen Jen-sen (director of G.A.A.) with a box of candy. The gym was decorated in red and pink streamers, hearts, and other assorted decorations. The band was "Max". They have appeared in concert with many rock groups, one ""being " "The James Gang." It wasn't the big turnout ' the G.A.A. had hoped for but everyone who went had a good time.
