Show Cub Scout Leaders Draw Individual Praise T. Bell Betz has worked very hard also as the leader lead-er of Den 2. Pat Hintze did a very good job with Den 3 for a year and then this year all the mothers led the boys for a month at a time. Shirley Cooper, Carla Hunt, Zora Foote, Lynda Simmons and Pat Hintze have all brought their own special talents to the program. Murray Ford, CubMaster, and Lynda Simmons, Den Leader Coach, surely want to express their deepest appreciation ap-preciation to all the leaders, to a special group of boys and to a group of very supportive sup-portive and helpful parents. There will be three summer sum-mer activities for the Pack. We encourage all the boys to come and enjoy them. Special thanks to everyone for making this a good year in Cub Scouting. Cub Scout Pack 154 held their Pinewood Derby Wednesday, Wed-nesday, May 21 at the Memorial Mem-orial Building. The boys all carved, painted, and weighted weight-ed their own cars and then raced them against each other. The boys found great excitement in comparing and racing their cars. The families attended the derby with the boys and all seemed to enjoy it as much as the boys. Each family brought part of the delicious pot luck dinner that also seemed to be enjoyed by all. Tyler Staggand Eddie Cal-lin Cal-lin raced in the final race with Tyler coming out the grand winner. The Cub Scouts have had an interesting, complete year full of many different projects, skill development, skits, circus and a host of other activities. The Pack is very grateful to our dedicated leaders. They have all been excellent and have put forth a great deal of effort in the boys' behalf. One of these dedicated leaders is Fred Betz, who gets a special vote of thanks. He is retiring after having completed two successful years as Weblo Leader. He has expended a great deal of his time, energy and resources. Susie Williams has also been a valuable leader to our Den 4. JoAnn Callin has ably assisted as a leader during the same time. |
