Show Racers Given Invitationl The U.S. Alpine Team will conduct a ten-day, On Snow Development Camp at Mt. Hood Meadows, Oregonfrom June 19-29. Racers invited to the camp were selected by the National Nation-al Coaching Staff as the top developing racers in the United States. Selections were based on an appraisal of the individual racing results re-sults together with recommendations recom-mendations of racing potential poten-tial made by Divisional Competition Com-petition Directors and Coaches. The camp will be directed direct-ed by the National Coaching Coach-ing Staff who will be assisted assist-ed by Divisional Coaches. Divisional Coaches participating partic-ipating will be: Tom Cannon, Can-non, Steamboat Springs, Colo.; Bill Harriman, Aspen, Colo.: Dick Knowles. Wen- Teams of 1977 to 1980 were given prime consideration in the selections. Racers invited to attend the UJS. Team Development Camp at Mt. The camp will concentrate on technical free-skiing, slalom and giant slalom and will include afternoon dryland dry-land activities, hikes, evening eve-ning lectures and films, as well as nine days of OnSnow Training. In making the announcement, announce-ment, Alpine Team Director, Hank Tauber, said the prime selection criteria was the evaluation of the potential for future international success suc-cess among the candidates.
