Show racers give parents awards The Park City Ski Club held an end of the season awards banquet at the C'est Bon Saturday, attended by 52 junior racers and parents. Since the kids have been winning awards all winter, it was deemed the parent's turn for a few. Buddy Waldman received a "Polish Pistol" (with backwards barrel) as a special service award for his outstanding service to the sport of ski racing, and to the junior racing program on both local and divisional levels. Vic Ayers received a roll of toilet paper currency for his financial support of the Park City Ski Club's program. And Alan Hayes received a "Polish Calculator" ( pencil with plug) for his hard efforts keeping times and points together for the team. Coach Bob Marsh offered special congratulations to the young competitors from Park City who've made their town proud this season. |
