Show Tooele Recta Capture Crown At P.C. Mens Softball Tourney In one of the finest games of the softball season, the Reds, ; hailing from Tooele, Utah downed Dev's Lounge to capture the Annual Park City Men's Softball Tourna-ment Tourna-ment crown. The hard-hitting Reds were the only team to remain undefeated for the three-day tournament held Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Sixteen teams in all played in the tourney. Eight were from Park City and eight were invited from out of town. The local clubs did very well in the tournament with the Brothers and Spencer's Auto claiming third and fourth places respectively. On their way to the finals, the Reds beat the Exciteable Boys, Red Devils and The Brothers to secure their berth. Dev's Lounge, on the other hand, opened off with a win against the Players, went on to beat Spencer's Auto, but then lost to the Reds and were knocked back into the consolation bracket. Since no other team, was undefeated there was a play-off in the consolation bracket to determine which team would advance to meet the Reds in the Finals. Because each of the Reds' opponants would have lost at least one game, they would have to beat the Reds twice in a double-header to secure the championship. In the consolation play-off, The Brothers met Dev's Lounge and were soundly defeated by the Dev's, who excelled at the plate and in the field, - Taking an early lead in the Championship Game, Dev's Lounge appeared to be headed for a second and final game with the Reds. However, How-ever, in the fifth inning the Reds tied the score and went on to eclipse Dev's by five runs at 14 to 7. Throughout the remaining innings the Reds - were definitely in the driver's seat; stretching their lead even further against a team which could not regain the momentum ' and the power they exhibited in the early innings. Apart from the trophies presented to the winners, the "Wah-Wah" award went to Erda and the "Most Fun" award to Hatch Cover.
