Show off the record Are You Going To Vote in Favor of the Quarter Per Cent Sales Tax to Fund Park City's Free Transportation System This Tuesday? ' I if - 4 ;i Y , ?j . 1 i 1 t ii I - I r , ri ' I I 4'! ", I ' . w: Susan Prigge Local Resident I'm going to vote. yes. It seems like the simplest way to come up with money to support the bus system, and we definately do need the bus. Ray Speckman, owner of The Paint Bucket on Main Street I think business people who volunteered their money last year should pay their debts before landowners of the city, who don't necessarily happen to be business people, are asked to support and subsidize a business related activity. Police Chief Garth Wilkinson I think it would be an excellent thing to have in the community. A lot of sales tax is generated from outsiders, anyway. We might as well have that income. I don't think business people in Park City should have to keep providing that money to keep the bus running each year. We're all part of the community and we should all be willing to help promote it. h ; J ; . ,- J ' i ft- 4 y i V Ay vir5 : I , f o , i . ,....:r Smltty, Eating Establishment From a business point of view, I'll say yes. But as a homeowner, . I'll say no. I don't think residents should be made to pay for transportation. Wendell Kelly, operator of Sample Shack on Main Street I would vote for it with this reservation: and that is that it be a mini-bus. A mini-bus would not back up traffic on Main Street. O.D.McGee, well known local resident I think that no fare transportation transporta-tion is a fairto midin prospect. ..to be fair ta lootin'. |
