Show Park City's Experts Found It Rough While Park City's junior racers slid through their paces without a hitch at cozy Eagle Rock, Park City expert level racers were confronting an almost hopelessly hope-lessly crippled Snowbird race series which was plagued by poor organization, little course preparation prepara-tion and malfunctioning timing devices. Throughout the ill-fated two-day affair, Park City's contingent hoped for the best and ended up rubbing elbows with the bad luck. Foremost of those plagued by bad luck was Park City premier woman expert Robbie Lynn Beck who dislocated her elbow on her second run after leading the first by almost two seconds. Three Park City men racers managed top ten finishes in the Expert B men's category. Eric Nielsen Niel-sen pulled off a fifth place position in Saturday's race but slipped to a ninth on Sunday. Craig Nagesawa reversed that trend with a ninth place Saturday finish and a strong fourth on Sunday. Also placing in the top ten in Saturday's slalom was Jay Jensen with an eighth. |
